Dub and Geri Green are being honored principally for their leadership and work with respect to the Arkansas Special Oympics.  They have been involved for 15 and 17 years respectively. The activities relative to Olympia Town have virtually become singularly supported by the Hot Springs Village Council, even though it is sponsored by the Arkansas Knights of Columbus.

Throughout the year, Geri paints thousands of wooden beads from old beaded seat cushions.  The Olympians string their favorite beads onto small wires cut to length by Dub for either bracelets or necklaces. Thank you both for your leadership and hard work relative to the Olympic Town at the Arkansas Special Olympic Games in Searcy.

Recently, State Deputy Charles Ketter appointed Dub and Geri as the Knights of Columbus Directors for the Arkansas Special Olympics, and they will be responsible for organizing Olympic Town in May, 2012.
