Bob and Patte Brandt were selected Family of the Month for September 2009, an award they had previously earned in March 2008.  Bob joined the Knights of Columbus in 1955 and the 4th Degree in 1958.   Bob and Patte moved to the Village from Inverness, Illinois in 1993 after looking all over the U.S. for a place to retire. They wanted a  lot on a lake with a golf course in the backyard and found their paradise in the Village.  They will be married 59 years in December.

Bob has been a member of the Sacred Heart Mens'  Club for 16 years.  He has been very active in promoting Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church priorities.  He works closely with individuals and committees planning Jesuit-led retreats, both at Sacred Heart as well as at the Montserrat Retreat  Center in Lake Dallas TX.

Bob was a member of the POA Board of Directors, the Public Works Committee, and the Architectural  Control committee.  He is past president of the Concerts Association and the Friends of the Village Committee.  He is also a member of Advisory Board of Good Samaritan and chairman of the Saline County Tax Equalization Board.

Patte has also been very active in service to her church and community.  She was a member of the Pastoral Council of Sacred Heart, the Finance Committee, the Long Range Planning Committee, the Building Committee, and the Memorial Gardens Committee.  She is a past president of Ladies of the Sacred Heart. 

In community service, Patte is past president of the Village Community Foundation and is currently a board member .  She is also past president of Quester International and is the Arkansas State Vice President.

Bob and Patte truly represent the Knights of Columus spirit of volunteerism to both church and community in earning the Family of the Month Award.  Congratulations!
