This award goes to Tom and Martha Yerina. Tom is currently our Church Director having served in this capacity for several years. In addition, he is a Lector at weekday masses, is an Extraordinary Minister and takes communion to the home bound. He is our first degree team leader having just set up the exemplification last month. He is the Commander of the Fourth Degree Honor Guard. He volunteers 5 hours a week at Mercy Hospital at its information desk.

He chaired the set-up committee for the recent Treasure Sale. He is an active participant in the Cedar Mountain Singers, Hot Springs Men’s Chorus, Barber Shop Chanticleers and Resurrection Choir. He says in his spare time he functions as the assistant treasurer for the Hot Springs Symphony Guild.

Martha is a member of the Ladies of the Sacred Heart. She also volunteers 5 hours a week at Mercy Hospital as a courier, transporting patients to various facilities in the hospital, delivering mail and flowers to patients, and assisting with the discharge of patients. She is also a member of the Resurrection Choir and Cedar Mountain Singers. She also helped with the Treasure Sale by working as a cashier. Martha tells me her biggest responsibility is making sure that Tom gets to his meetings and activities at the appointed time.
