These seminarians would appreciate hearing from the knights.  Andrew's parents live in Little Rock and Guillermo's live in Colombia.  Guillermo has also been adopted by Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.

As guest speaker at the September Council 10208 meeting, Program Director Dick Breckon detailed the rationale for the proposed $4.00 monthly increase in the Village property owners' assessment.  He explained why additional funding is needed in five primary areas: 1) street and culvert maintenance; 2) capital Equipment replacements and building repair; 3) water plant expansion; 4) wastewater treatment plant compliance; and, 5) promotion of Hot Springs Village.

The last assessment increase was approved in 2004.  An increase requires the approval of 51% of all property owners in good standing.  If approved, there cannot be a request for another assessment increase for at least three years.

Four Knights of Columbus Members from Council 10208 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church are very active in the Arkansas State Council.

Lee Borne, a charter member of the local council formed on January 1, 1990, has been on the Special Olympics Board of Directors since that time as well. The Knights of Columbus has been a strong supporter of the Special Olympics at the national level since 1968, and Lee works tirelessly to maintain a strong bond between the two organizations in Arkansas. In addition to having held offices, including financial secretary for Council 10208, Lee has served over the years as state program director, district deputy, state deputy, state advocate, and state secretary.

Mike Frantz was chosen the July 2009 Knight of the Month.   It is the third time in four years that Mike has been awarded this honor.

Wayne and Dee Kapple were selected  the July 2009 Family of the Month in part for their extensive work as case managers following the Mena tornado disaster.

Welcome to the revised and updated web site for Council 10208 and Assembly 2316.  The web site has been given a modern "look and feel".  Changes to the web site include, but are not limited to:

• The heading has been changed to give the site a clear and specific identity for both the Council and the Assembly.

• The Home page has been given a contemporary 'newspaper' look.  News articles may include a Read More button to view the entire article.  This also allows for more headlines in a shorter space.

• Most web site photos can be enlarged by clicking on the photo.   These photos have  a magnifying glass in the lower right corner.
