John Regan and Daniel Ellis were the keynote speakers at the March 1, 2022 Council meeting with John giving a presentation covering aspects of all programs made available to Knights from our Insurance company. Many Knights don't realize that our insurance team has long term care, retirement programs, investment programs as well as regular types of regular insurance for the family.

On Saturday, February 12th, the 2022 District Free Throw contest was held in Hot Springs at the St John's gym. It went off smoothly although there were only five participants. There were two from Jessieville that both qualified to proceed to the state contest.
Welcome to our newest Brother Knights. On Sunday, February 13th, our Council Exemplification Team welcomed three new Knights. From left to right, Father Bill, Rick Phillips, Gerald Krawczynski, Mike Kerwin, new Knight Greg Osterhout, Gary Wolfer, new Knight Mike Passaglia, Bill Patterson, new Knight Dave Schwulst and Ron Cuba. The ceremony was witnessed by our new members' lovely wives, Debbie Passaglia, Cherry Schwulst and Sharon Osterhout. A number of Council members also attended.

Gil is our in-house BarTender as well as setting up the Lower Hall for the Knights of Columbus and Men's Club functions which includes the dinner and breakfast meals.
He was the official Dishwasher for the Men's Retreat last year in Little Rock and will be
doing it again this year.
Helped with the last Special Olympics before Covid hit.
A tremendous amount of his work is with the Wuzz a Fuzz group (retired Police Officers Organization).
Volunteered for the recent Bishop's Golf Tournament.
Both he and Mary are Adoration Participants.
Congratulations to Gil and Mary for a much deserved Award.

Brother Jim expressed his heartfelt thanks for being considered worthy of receiving this Award stating there were many other Brother Knight far more deserving of it. Well, Jim has done a lot to be so deserving of this award:

Sought & acquired business donations and collected at gates for the Campaign for Adults With Disabilities
Assisted with the placing of crosses for Right to Life month
Assisted w/various meals as server, money collector, etc
Is a member or the Brother Knight Outreach Program started by Ricky Phillips

Pat McGannon presented a check to Terri Weir, CEO of Arkansas Special Olympics. This years Special Olympics games will be held in Searcy on May 11 to 13, 2022 on an abreviated schedule.
