Ed and Paula Doyle were named September Family of the Month.
Paula's activities include: head coordinator of the parish Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration program; Parish Spiritual Director for past 2.5 years; facilitator for adult education programs - Oremus, Our Father's Plan and Why Catholic; English as a Second Language teacher at St. John's Parish for 6 years; and, Eucharistic Minister.
Ed's involvement includes: Jackson House volunteer; Eucharistic Minister; participant in Knights programs - Memorial Mass and Dinner, CPID collections, Ham Sales, Mardi Gras Dinner Dance; Council treasurer. He is also a Perpetual Adoration participant.

Tom serves in a number o
f roles with Sacred Heart of Jesus including: Eucharistic Minister on Sundays and weekdays; home-bound Eucharistic Minister; weekday lector; Prayer Warrior; adorer Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration; member of Resurrection Choir; coordinator for set up of the halls for Treasure sales; and, Pastoral Council for two terms.
Tom is a member of both the Council and the Assembly. He has served as: Church Director; Honor Guard Commander; First Degree Exemplification Team Leader; coordinator of the Holy Week Montserrat Silent Retreat; record keeper for the annual ham sales; marshal at the golf event for St John's; and, volunteer for the Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
In addition, Tom volunteers for: Men’s Club Meals on Wheels; Cedar Mountain Singers; Village Men’s Chorus; and weekly at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs.

As a Couincil and an Assembly member, John's involvement with the knights includes: Chancellor, Grand Knight, Trustee, Communications Director (council and assembly), Web Site Administrator, and CPID director at both state and local level, coordinator of Coats for Kids, and the Keep Christ in Christmas billboards. He chairs on-site meals for Homeless Vets at St. Francis House, is a regular volunteer for placing flags on the Church campus, and is the e-coordinator for bi-monthly Red Cross blood drives at the Village United Methodist Church.
For Sacred Heart, he is an altar server, lector, Eucharistic minister, prayer warrior, perpetual adoration adorer, director of Disaster Response Team, and member of Social Justice and Charitable Outreach Committee. John is coordinator of the local Rice Depot Food for Seniors Program, and he participates in Camp for the Blind bowling, Habitat for Humanity, Christmas Basket Program, bingo at Good Samaritan, highway clean-up with the Men's Club, and the HSV community theatre.
Carolyn is a Sunday mass cantor, a member of the Sunday Choir, and the Resurrection Choir. She is active in the Ladies of the Sacred Heart, helps at Special Olympics, Jackson House Crisis Center, bingo at Good Samaritan, and is a regular blood donor. She is very invloved in the HSV community theatre Players as an officer, director and actor.
The clearly demonstrated, charitable and civic actions by John and Carolyn have favorably affected the lives of numerous people. They have also helped Council 10208 receive recognition from various organizations and from the State Knights of Columbus Council.
