Dub & Geri Green first became actively involved with the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Parish in Waxahachie TX.They prepared and served food at the monthly KC member/spouse golf tournaments playe
d at a little "Podunk"course in Red Oak. They also served as members of the pit crew at Casino parties which served as a fundraising project for the Knights of Columbus when various organizations hired them.
They moved to Hot Springs Village in September, 1993, and immediately became active in Knights of Columbus and church activities. Dub is on the schedule for regular pickup and delivery offood donated by Sacred Heart Church to Jackson House. They deliver clothing, household goods, hygiene items to St.Francis House in Little Rock. Dub is also involved inpickup and delivery of items donated by Bath, Bath & Beyond in Hot Springs to St. Francis House.
Their most important project, and very dear to their hearts, is the Special Olympics. Geri began her volunteerism in Olympic Town in 1994 and Dub, seeing her enthusiasm, joined her in 1996. They schedule their yearly vacation and activities around the Special Olympics state competition and various associated activities and meetings required of Dub as Knights of Columbus State Chairman-Arkansas Special Olympics for the past four years. He refers to Geri as his co‑chairman. Without her, the job would not get done or run as smoothly as it does.
Dub is a Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
