I would like to take a moment to recognize one great man, and a band of men who ask for no recognition. On May 9, 2017 Assembly 2316, Hot Springs Village, and the United States of America lost another one of the Greatest Genration. It is exceedingly rare that any of these men and women are still around to share their wisdom, and their stories, and John Joseph Meehan will be truly missed. He served in World War II in Germany, England, and France. He was also a devoted citizen, Sir Knight, and a true American Hero. Eternal rest grant to him; and let perpetual light shine upon him.
An intrical part of every Sir Knights Mass of the resurrection is the men that make up the Assembly Honor Guard. The reverence and dignity that these men add to any event is without words. They are, in so many ways, the face of the Knights of Columbus. Let us all take a moment and thank these special Sir Knights for their dedication and service.
