Dave and Kathleen moved to HSV in 1998, he joined the Knights December 2006, and the 4th Degree Assembly in  2008.  His involvement within the Church includes: being a member of the Church Finance Council for 13 years; chairing the Finance Council for 11 years; serving on a rotating crew to count the weekly collrctions for past 13 years; serving as a member of the organizing committee for the past three Parish Treasure Sales and directing the cashiering function for same; designing and building stage runway for Ladies of Sacred Heart Fashion Show and assembling it for the third time this year; being involved with the purchase and installation of the deep fryers in the kitchen and with the recent sanctuary tile flooring installation; volunteering for the Crosses for Life on the Church lawn; and serving as a member of the Church Christmas decorating Crew.

His involvement within the community: was a past Board member of Garland County Habitat for Humanity for 3 years; was a regular (2 days a week) volunteer builder for Habitat for Humanity for 14 years; has organized the Church workers for the past Habitat Apostle Build projects; has been a member of the team that picks up food from Project Hope Food Pantry and then distributes it into the boxes for delivery to needy famililes at Christmas time for three years; has been a member of the Men's Club Highway Trash clean-up crew; is a member of the Sacred Heart Disaster Response team specializing in use of the pole saw; worked with a crew to replace the roof facia boards and clean the awning at St. Francis House; has attended the Mass and the March for Life in Little Rock and the Rosary in the Walmart parking lot; and participated in the Bishop McDonald golf scramble benefitting Catholic Charities.
