On Tuesday Evening, November 5th, a memorial Mass and Dinner was held for all the departed Knights and their Widows. The evening was well attended.
Fr. Bill held Mass for the Knights with a very touching homily. For each Knight that had passed in the past year, a White Carnation was presented to the Altar by the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard. Each Widow was also presented with a Carnation.
Dinner was server in the Lower Hall with a dinner, catered by our parishioners Bruno Beqiri of Dolce Vita Italian Ristorante, which consisted of a tossed garden salad, fresh garlic rolls with Bruno’s homemade garlic butter, Chicken Mona Lisa on a bed of angel hair pasta. Dessert was a delicious Bread Pudding with a Grand Marnier glaze.
During the dinner, the Family of the Month Award went to Knights that had passed away this past year and their Widows making this such a special night.
The Knight of the Month was awarded to Russ Tessier. Russ has been a member in Council 10208 less than a year and having transferred from Council 9016 in Baton Rouge La.
Working with the council, he has been an assistant dish washer at breakfast events, Chairman of the REY dinner for our youth, teachers and parents and assisted with Prolife and CPID donations. God Bless you Russ and all you do for your Brother Knights and Community.
