Ed Miller

Members of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Disaster Response Team (DRT) recently donated 585 hours in cleaning up Hot Springs Village common property damaged by the April 2011 tornado.

Ed Miller, who is in charge of the DRT's clean-up crew, coordinated the effort with the POA to determine the sites to be worked on each week.  Wally Gieringer handled the scheduling. The 26 volunteers worked Thursday and Friday mornings during a two-month period with several of the men using of their own chain saws to get the work done.

The volunteers included: Ray Ambrozich, John Bodensteiner, Bob Bowman, Tom DeVito, John Froning, Wally Gieringer, Bob Gordon, Dick Hoepner, Dave Johnston, Ed Keearns, Mike Kerwin, Larry Lipsmeyer, Rick Meyers, Ed Miller, Mike Miller, Terry O’Brien, Jim Passe, Pat Perilloux, Steve Schramer, Milt Spaniel, Mark Swain, Tom Thornton, Rolland White, Dave Witchger, Gary Wolfer, and Marvin Young.  All but two of the men are knights.

Ed Miller recently accepted an “Outstanding Service Award” given to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church by the Property Owners Association Board of Directors at their annual awards meeting.
