In an effort to expand its community programs into areas where there is a definite need, the officers and directors of your KC Council 10208 have decided to support the local Red Cross blood drives hosted by the Village United Methodist Church in eight-week intervals. The church is located at 200 Carmona Road in the Carmona Plaza adjacent to the Regions Bank. The blood collection is not done in a cramped mobile unit, but rather in the cool, spacious area of the church facility. The gracious hosts are primarily from the Methodist Church led by Jo Elliott, but Sacred Heart’s own Arlene Giedt has worked with them for five years.
The remaining blood collection dates at the church for 2009 are 8:00 am – 2:00 pm on Tuesdays - July 14, September 22, and November 17. If you can donate on July 14, please contact Grand Knight John Bodensteiner (915-0339 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Also contact him if you have any questions, and he will research them for you.
You may also go to Red Cross Blood Eligibility Guidelines to review the eligibility requirements. Thanks in advance for participating in this vital service.
