Larry and Carol Cruz |
For the last 18 or so years Larry and Carol have been our sacristan and right-hand-man taking care of countless details to ensure our daily Mass and services run smoothly, are fully supplied, supported, and efficient. Always there to arrange the flowers, take care of the alter linen, light candles, hand out fliers, prayer lists, and provide myriad support assistance to all parishioners. Day in, day out, year after year, Larry and Carol have been the stalwarts in the Narthex and Sanctuary working on Mass preparation and support.
And of course, both are always there, when asked, to support other Knights’ tasks, like Larry selling parish breakfast tickets. We don’t have a “family of the last decade-and-a-half” award, but if we did, they would deserve it. Soon they will “retire” from these tasks, and replacing them will be a challenge for the parish, because they are all but irreplaceable. Thank you so very much for your service.
Fred and Joan Jungers |
Fred and Joan were the 2016 Special Olympics coordinator for Council 10208. Together, they arranged lodging, travel, and other logistics for 48 volunteers to keep Council 10208's Olympic Town a major hit once again for all of the athletes that competed in the State games.
The Olympic Town, featuring many games for the athletes to play between their Olympic competition, went on with great organization and enthusiasm. The volunteers, thanks to the efforts of the Jungers, had a great evening of fellowship and fun on Friday night, when a delicious meal was served.
Let us all congratulate Fred and Joan on a job well done, and all get on board with our support for their future endeavors.
