During this past period John has held the positions of trustee, was chairman of Keep Christ in Christmas, coordinates the Food for Seniors program (Rice Depot), heads the Blood Drive Program, and serves as State Director for the Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities which is the key money maker for the Knights in general.
His Church involvement includes mass server, lector, Eucharistic minister, member of the Social Justice and Charitable Outreach Commission, director of the Disaster Response Team, and chair of the Treasure Sale. He also helps transport food to Jackson House following weekend collections.
As Grand Knight for the 2009-2010 period, John set the bar for those who follow. He, along with web developer Mike Miller, set up and continue to maintain an excellent web site. Also during his tenure, he added four new ongoing programs which played a large part in the Council being named Large Council of the Year for Arkansas for 2011-2012.

This Special Recognition Award was presented to Lee Borne for his outstanding accomplishments as a Knight. Lee is a charter member of Council 10208 and a Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus.
He has held the positions of Financial Secretary, State Program Director, District Deputy, State Deputy (2 terms), State Advocate, and State Secretary.
Lee has had a long association with Special Olympics starting in 1968. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Special Olympics since 1990. Olympic Town at Harding University, the site of the Arkansas Special Olympics, owes its existence to Lee.
