January 2024 Family of the Month is Johnny and Linda Broome. Johnny travels a good portion of the year as an Aerial Firefighter. It gives him plenty of flight hours during daylight hours saving forests and homes. While he is away he is working nights for the Knights. For the past four years he has been the Website Article Administrator. He has several other responsibilities with the Knights that most don't know about. Johnny does the Knights of Columbus Corner in each weekly bulletin, he also places the announcements and information articles in the weekly bulletin. When he is in town he is always willing to volunteer for any project that comes up.
A bit about Linda Broome. I doubt that every Parishioner at Sacred Heart knows Linda. She is such a ball of fire and one of the main players in the Church, just finishing her term on the Parish Council. Most know her for her exercise classes every Tuesday and Thursday for the past 5 years. There is no possible way to write in this small article all of the things she has been involved with including all of the stage productions. If you walk in to any group and Linda is there, you probably just spotted the leader.

Coordinates programs for 3rd grade at Mountain Pine
Does Filly Feed bags for Oaklawn female track workers
And a long time member of the Food Basket Committee and Social Justice Committee

Does PreDawn Adoration
Serves at the 8:00 AM Sunday Mass
Flag Chairman
4th Degree Honor Guard
Food Basket Committee
Secretary of the Men's Club
Member of the Cemetery Committee
Serves lunches at the Jackson House (every 1st Tuesday of the Month)
Helps with the many Kof C events where ever needed (server, clean-up, set-up, etc.)

The October Family of the Month is Deadon Gary Christoff and wife Doris.
Wow, they do so much for the Church and the Knights.
Just to name a few:
Samaritan Ministries in Hot Springs.
Give a short spiritual presentation every other 1st Friday. BJ does the other Friday.
Dcn Gary is the minister for the Bereavement Ministry visiting with folks who have lost a loved one to help them to work through their grief.
Conduct 5 - week workshops
Grieving with Great Hope.
A member of the Family Assistance Committee.
Other workshops as needed.
COR.Doris is co-chair of the evening adorers with Mike Ritch.She is co-chair of St. Monica's guild, LOSH.She is a Sacristan.She's on the Eucharistic Revival Committee. Both of them are Eucharistic Ministers.
