Gary Wolfer (center) presenting award to Dub & Geri Green
After the 2015 Special Olympics (and having turned age 80), Dub retired as "Knights of Columbus Director-Special Olympics Arkansas".  Both he and Geri say it was an incredible blessing to serve in that capacity and that it taught them many life lessons.  It should always be about these special athletes and, as director, Dub always considered first and foremost their safety, what games, etc the athletes and families really liked.

Dub and Geri will continue to work Olympic Town in the future.  It is deep-rooted in them and forever etched in their hearts.  As requested by Joan Jungers, Geri will continue to paint wooden beads for use at Olympic Town.

Dub also collects donated food at Sacred Heart Church and delivers it to Jackson House, assists with the Blind Camp bowling outing, and works the Tootsie Roll Drive as well as the VFW Poppie fund raiser.

Dub & Geri collect household items and clothing from friends, go to garage sales, re-sale shops and outlets and purchase bedding items, clothing, shoes, hygiene and personal grooming products, and tableware to take to St. Francis House for Homeless Vets.  (Geri washes & irons all clothing items & bedding donated to St. Francis House.  She feels if the items are donated, you still have to give of yourself for our Lord.)

Geri is involved with the VFW Auxiliary in their many charitable events, including fingerprinting kindergarten students at Jessieville, Mountain Pine, and Fountain Lake schools.

They are proud to be representatives of the Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
