Lower hall set for the party. |
The party started with social time at 6:00pm followed by a dinner at 7:00 which was catered by Home Plate with the following menu: fruit cocktail appetizer, Caesar salad & rolls, prime rib on horseradish sauce entree, fresh asparagus, candied carrots, and assorted desserts.
The Blue Velvet Band provided excellent 50s & 60s dance music from 8:00pm ‘till midnight. At 11:00 (midnight NY), there was a countdown for the ball drop to welcome in 2015.
There were 144 attendees seated at 19 tables with over 60% from outside the parish. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
Russ Harrison was in charge of ticket sales. Carolyn Bodensteiner designed the publicity flier. Ron Cuba, Jack Widlowski, and Rick Meyers handled the hall setup and decorations. The party had a net profit of $985 to help fund the Council’s many charities and causes.
