Mountain Pine High School Administrative Assistant Shannon Currington and School Counselor Paul Simms accept a check from Knights of Columbus fundraiser co-chairs Bill Roe and Mike Welsh. |
As had been done in the previous two years, the $2,000 profit was split equally between the Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) and the Mountain Pine School District. School representatives purchased gifts for 46 students and a few of their siblings, and personally delivered them to the families.
On many of the family visits, Bill Roe and Mike Welsh accompanied ALE and Mountain Pine School personnel, which enabled them to meet the families and view first hand the excellent rapport the administrators have with their students and parents.
