Funeral arrangements have been set for Brother William J. Roeder, 66, who died early Thursday morning, September 17, at his home of complications from a rarer blood disease, amyloidosis.  The visitation and vigil service will be held  5:00 - 6:00  pm Sunday with the rosary recited at 5:30.  The Mass of  Christian Burial will be at 9:00 am Monday with a reception following.  The grave site services with cremated remains being placed in a niche in the Columbarium will occur at a family service at 10:00 am on Tuesday.  Both the visitation and the mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 295 Balearic Road in the Village.

The 4th Degree Assembly Honor Guard and the VFW will be involved in the services.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to the UAMS Cancer Research Center is suggested.

Bill joined the Knights of Columbus Council 10208 on January 4, 2005, and was exemplified into the 3rd degree on February 20 and the 4th degree on November 12 of that same year.  Bill and Ruth received the Family of the Month Award in December 2008, and Bill held the offices of Recorder and Outside Guard for the Council as well as the Flags Forever Chair for the Assembly.  He was also very active with the ham sales fundraiser program.  Ruth was the 2008-2009 President of the Ladies of the Sacred Heart.
